Django Reinhardt thanks a billion!

Today at AR Penzance we are enjoying listening to Django Reinhardt to lighten up our spirits as the weather isn't very happy!

Django Reinhardt (23 January 1910 - 16 May 1953) is a true musical genius, he was a pioneering jazz guitarist and composer. His third and forth finger on his left hand was paralysed after an injury in the fire. He only used his middle finger on his left hand for his solos, now that is truly impressive!

This is AR's favorite song! We just want to get up and have a little boogie.

Dinette

Reinhardt is the first important European jazz musician who made major contributions towards this movement.

Another amazing and famous song of his is 'Minor Swing', which you might remember being in 'The Matrix' and 'Chocolat'.

Thanks Reinhardt!
